The Spectator was designed to remedy that.
A protective leather case without unnecessary complication,intended to keep a good pair of glasses close at hand whether travelling, driving or watching the world go by.

The Spectator follows the Balfour Cairns principle that everyday objects deserve the same consideration as grander ones.
Its purpose is straightforward: protect what is inside, travel easily and improve rather than deteriorate with age.
Anything else would be unnecessary.

The Founders Issue Spectator is presented in Caledonian Whisky leather with Holyrood Heather detailing.
The combination is exclusive to Founders Issue pieces and will not be used within the permanent House Collection.

MADE PROPERLY
Handcrafted by skilled artisans from vegetable-tanned leather, The Spectator is made to withstand the repeated handling that comes with daily use.
The leather will soften and develop patina over time, recording something of everywhere it has accompanied its owner.

Only twenty Founders Issue Spectators will be made. Each is individually numbered, giving every piece its own identity within the collection.
The unique Founders Issue code is stamped discreetly onto the piece itself and recorded on its accompanying Certificate of Authenticity.

REGISTERED BY THE HOUSE
Every Founders Issue Spectator is entered into the Balfour Cairns House Register with its individual number, year of issue and original Registered Owner.
It is accompanied by its Certificate of Authenticity, establishing its provenance from the moment it is issued by the House
